•The Commencement Exercise is a time to celebrate accomplishments.

•Celebration should be respectful of other members of the class.

•Every student would like for family and friends to hear his or her name called.

•Students and guests should keep talking and movement during the ceremony to a

minimum.

•Keep the center aisle clear at all times (this is a fire hazard).

•No one is to be in the area between the stage and the first row of seats.

•Please do not move the chairs.

•Cell phones or pagers must be turned off during the ceremony.

•No air horns or other noisemakers.

•Small children should remain seated. They are not to wander freely.

•Parasols or umbrellas are to remain closed during the ceremony.

•Video cameras on tripods should not obstruct the view of others or be placed in the aisle

(it is a fire hazard).
