  Lawson Middle School Graduation Information

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

Time of Graduation:

4:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place on the Lawson field and last approximately one hour.(Graduation students are to report to the Upper blacktop area at 3:30 p.m.)

LMS Commencement Ceremony Exercise Key Reminders. 

Graduation Celebration:

7:00-10:00 p.m., in the Event Center and Main Quad. The celebration includes the following activities: games (DDR, ping pong, carnival games, etc.), dancing, free food, and much more!

Dress Guidelines:

Please keep in mind that graduation will be held outdoors in the afternoon.

GIRLS: Dresses with sleeves or should have spaghetti straps in moderate spring colors or prints (no formal attire, please) are appropriate. Shoes should have low heels practical for walking on grass and climbing steps.

BOYS: Dress shirts and slacks. Ties, sweaters, and jackets are optional.

Parking:

Parking will be extremely limited (in the parking lot). Please try to carpool with family and friends. If you chose to park on the streets surrounding the school, please be respectful of Lawson neighbors.

Handicap Parking:

There will be limited handicap parking. If you are in need of handicap parking, please come to the Vista Bus Circle for parking. You will need to present a valid handicap placard. This parking is also limited.

Photography:

The PTA will be sending out information about a photographer they have hired to take a photo of each student as they receive their graduation certificate.

DVD:

A DVD of the ceremony, party clips, and video messages to the graduates will be available for pre-ordered purchase from the PTA, and will be mailed to you over the summer.

Tickets:

Lawson does not require tickets to attend the graduation ceremony. Tickets would only be given out only in the event of rain. The tickets would be passed out during the last week of school. Each graduate would receive four tickets.
