May 5th is the final day for your vote on Measure B to count! If you still have a ballot, you can drop it off at Quinlan Center on Tuesday and a volunteer will drive it to the Registrar of Voters (ROV)office for you. If you lost your ballot, you will need to drive to the ROV either Monday or Tuesday to vote. Thank you for your support. We will celebrate the end of STAR testing with a final Staff Appreciation Lunch for the year on May 15th. Our teachers are amazing and I hope you can let them know how much we appreciate all of their dedication to our children. This is the all-school Appreciation Day, so I hope you can help us let them know that we appreciate what they do every day. The PTA will be hosting a Chinese Take out Lunch for the teachers but we still need desserts and salad. Please feel free to also contribute cash to help us pay for the yummy Take-out food. The California State PTA convention was on April 30-May 3rd at the San Jose Convention Center. We had 3 representatives from Lawson attend since it is local this year and we are able to send more people at a lower cost. It is a great opportunity to see how the PTA is working for us at the State and National levels. The PTA was working hard on our behalf during the State budget negociations, and we are part of this organization that has the ear of the Governor. By being counted with the PTA our children have a voice in the legislature.
